The proposed re-construction date is 1744-1745. This date avoids the genuine problem for a reconstruction project of interpreting the damages, repairs and additional work related to the sieges of 1745 and 1758, and is also the general date chosen for the other reconstructions at the Fortress of Louisbourg (1713-1758).
